To kick start the celebrations a series of Christmas lights switch-on events have been taking place around the borough. During each event children were also invited to take part in various Christmas activities such as Storytime with Santa, Christmas crafts and elf trail at Redbridge Libraries.
- Have a ball with Cinderella
What is Christmas without a classic pantomime? Join us as our stage lights up once again this holiday season and a classic story is brought to life. We’ve all missed the theatre during the last year, and now is the best time to experience these great stories once again, but with a panto-twist of course.

Our Christmas Pantomime this year is set to be a magical one, as Cinderella is coming to the Kenneth More Theatre this winter season. This perfect pantomime is perfect for all ages, and is full of laughs, giggles and surprises.
Our enchanting cast includes Elizabeth Bright as our very own Cinderella, and Timothy Mylechreest as the handsome prince, as well as other familiar faces such as Karl Greenwood, Darren Hart, Alan French and Liam Harkins.

- Santa is coming to town!
…On the Santa Express, no less!

Santa is on his sleigh, flying around Redbridge to spread joy and festive cheer with this live performance! Sing along to your favourite Christmas songs. This is the perfect activity for the family, as this 30-minute showcase a must-see! The Mayor of Redbridge will also be attending opening and closing performances of the show on 11 and 18 of December.
If you’re on the nice list, then you can even capture the moment and get your very own photo with Santa.
This festive performance will be supporting Redbridge Carers’ Support Service. Santa’s little elves will be collecting donations at each performance, so you can this wonderful cause with your donations.

- Join Alice in a Winter Wonderland

Join us for this modern take of a classic tale, brought to the stage of Redbridge Drama Centre this December!
Alice in Wonderland is an unforgettable story filled with mystery and wonder as she embarks on a journey of discovery. – But this certain performance has a winter twist! Will Alice really be able to bring the Christmas sprit to Wonderland? Only time will tell, and time certainly isn’t on her side.

Friday 17 December be sure to keep those calendars clear because the Redbridge Music Service are putting on their annual Christmas Concert at Sir James Hawkey Hall.

- Christmas on Ice!

Fairlop Waters presents for the first time ever – an outdoor ice rink with a surrounding Winter Village.
Come along and try your skills on the ice with your friends and family, with skate hire and aids available on the day.
But if skating isn’t your style, then you can enjoy the wonderful warm beverages to keep you toasty. There will also be a range of other activities for you to try such as letter-writing to Santa, decorating and even the Polar Express!
The Fairlop Winter Village opens on December 11, perfect for the holidays.
