London Youth Games Cross Country Championships

On Saturday 15 November 2014 Team Redbridge’s cross country runners took part in the first day of competition for the 2015 London Youth Games season. A total of 43 runners represented Redbridge at Parliament Hill, Hampstead Heath. The team was selected from the Redbridge Schools Cross Country Championships earlier this year.

Ahmed Adbulle pictured above won a gold medal in the male Under 17s race on Saturday, where there were nearly 1,200 young London runners, representing 33 London Boroughs. Medals were presented to winning individuals by London 2012 Olympic Marathon Scott Overall. In the girls U15s race Isabella Hoy took 7th place.

  • Boys Under 13s –15th
  • Girls Under 13s –21st
  • Boys Under 15s – 24th
  • Girls Under 15s – 10th
  • Boys Under 17s – 11th
  • Girls Under 17s – 24th
  • Overall Boys Team -14th
  • Overall Girls Team– 21st

The London Youth Games is Europe’s largest annual youth sport event which is free and open to young people aged between 7 and 18 years old.
