East London Mini Marathon

On Sunday 16^th February 2014, a cool but dry day, 76 of Redbridge’s young people aged between 11 and 16 turned up at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to take part in the East London Mini Marathon. This is an annual event held with Waltham Forest and Newham to help select runners for the Virgin Money Giving London Mini Marathon.

Redbridge had top 3 finishers in 5 of the 6 races – with Redbridge athletes taking all 3 top spots in both the u15 boys and u15 girls races.

Thanks to the Mayor who presented all the trophies.

48 athletes have now been selected to run at the London Mini Marathon on the 13^th April representing Redbridge.
