Wheelchair Basketball in Redbridge!

We are very excited to announce that new sessions have been added to Redbridge’s first ever wheelchair basketball club! Frenford Falcons Wheelchair Basketball Club was established in November 2011 in partnership with the Vision Sport & Health Team. Not only do we have a range of qualified coaches, but we work closely with British Wheelchair Basketball, so you can be sure you will get high level training sessions.

We want everyone to get involved! There is a 100% open door policy and with a growing number of families as well as individuals taking part, the atmosphere at the club is electric! It’s a really friendly, lovely place to learn and develop your skills in the sport.

We delivered wheelchair basketball sessions to over 7 schools and colleges as well as the Copper Box Stadium in 2012/13. In the same years Redbridge had its first ever Inclusive Zone Basketball team entered in to the London Youth Games. The sports world is currently buzzing with all the changes and developments in Parasports. Did you know that Wheelchair Basketball is the largest growing blue ribbon leading Paralympic sport? This is the most exciting time ever to get involved! Could you be Britain’s next Paralympic star? You’ll never know until you start training…

The Falcons cater for recreational players either with or without a disability, right up to high levels of competitive leagues. So, whatever your ability, come on down and improve your confidence and skills! Plus you’ll get to make some brilliant friends along the way too.

Follow the Falcons as they take on the might of the country in the 2013/14 development league.

Sessions cost just £3 and are open to anyone aged 10 years and over. Join the Falcons at The Jack Carter Centre, Ilford, every Sunday.

 Sundays:
