You Are Here: A history of Redbridge in Maps an exhibition

Exciting news for all you history buffs! We have a brand new exhibition opening at Redbridge Museum! Take a journey with ‘A history of Redbridge in Maps’  back through space and time to discover over 2,000 years of local history.  The fascinating story of Redbridge is told through a range of beautiful maps. Look closely to uncover wartime bomb damage maps as well as local area plans. Each map is a unique work of art in its own right.

Complimented by archive photographs, museum objects, oral history and film, the exhibition invites you to see Redbridge in a new light. The maps on display are part of the local history collections of Redbridge Information & Heritage, Central Library, Ilford.

All ages are welcome to this wonderful historic event at Redbridge Museum, 1st Floor Exhibition Area, Redbridge Central Library, Clements Road, Ilford, Essex IG1 1EA. Admission is free and you can see the exhibition at the follow times: Tuesday – Friday 10am – 5pm and Sat 10 am – 4 pm.

The exhibition will run from Tuesday 22 October 2013 to Saturday 1 March 2014.
