Make, Do and Mend Craft Fair

With less than 3 full months of the year remaining, Christmas is pulling us a little closer each day. We know…we’ve done it; we’ve gone and committed a cardinal sin…we mentioned the festive season before Halloween has even hit. Sorry! But, seeing as everyone seems to be a little strapped for cash and the key to Christmas success is planning ahead (take note all of those whom frantically scour the shopping centres at the last minute on Christmas Eve), we thought you might like to know about the Make, Do and Mend Craft Fair taking place at Wanstead Library this Thursday (3rd of October).

Instead of digging deep into your wallets, and desperately stretching every single penny, why not make your gifts for friends and family this year? Come on down and have a look at the variety of craft demonstrations and displays taking place throughout day and draw some inspiration, you might even find a few bits to help you create your individual presents.

If you’re not looking to have a creative Christmas just yet, why not find something to brighten up and decorate your home? You could even seek some advice and give up-cycling a go! Pop along and have a look at the embroidery, knitting, wood turning, card making and flower arranging displays – there may even be the chance for some to join in. Afternoon tea will be available between 2 pm – 3 pm.

Everyone loves a little creativity!

The event is open to adults and will be taking place at Wanstead Library, Spratt Hall Road, Wanstead, London, E11 2RQ. Admission is free.  The fair runs from 11am – 3pm.
